

NORKOOL™ industrial coolants offer excellent freeze and burst protection. They include patented formulas that provide protection against ferrous metal corrosion, including cavitation and crevice corrosion. These inhibited ethylene glycol-based fluids have been shown to be effective in mitigating liner cavitation corrosion in both high-speed and low-speed engines. The fluid is dyed a blue-green color to aid in leak detection.

- NORKOOL™ coolants are sold "neat" — ready to be diluted with water of low mineral content — or prediluted, in situations where low-mineral water is not readily available.
High Performance Applications
NORKOOL™ Coolant Concentrate SLH and Dilute Coolant SLH 50, 40 and 30 are patented formulas that provide optimum protection against ferrous metal corrosion, including cavitation and crevice corrosion. They are highly effective in mitigating liner cavitation corrosion in both high-speed and low-speed engines. These coolants form a thin protective film for better heat transfer.

System Maintenance
Whether new or old, heat transfer systems that utilize water or water-containing fluids as coolants are likely to accumulate rust, mineral scales and oily contaminants during construction and operation. These scales and contaminants can drastically reduce the heat transfer efficiency of the system. Dow provides a unique three part cleaning system for new and old systems. NORKOOL™ Cleaner and NORKOOL™ Degreaser have been developed to optimize cleaning and are easy to use. Followed by the use of NORKOOL™ Inhibitor 244, a surface modifier that passivates the cleaned metal surfaces to prevent flash rusting, this three part system ensures that the newly installed thermal fluid, such as NORKOOL™ Coolant does not get depleted.
