Exploration and Production.
Dow Oil & Gas currently offers a broad portfolio of chemicals and technologies for drilling and is developing new molecules designed for higher temperature, higher pressure conditions. Innovative chemistry for improved shale stabilization and well bore stability are also available, along with a wide range of solutions for microbiological and rheological control, emulsification and solvency.
To enhance production, Dow Oil & Gas is developing solutions that address the demands of higher temperatures and pressures, including more durable cement additives for zonal isolation and advanced materials for proppants. For enhanced oil recovery, the business is developing flow-enhancing surfactants and polymers for miscible gas and chemical floods to extract more oil from existing reservoirs and add to the world's proven oil reserves. Dow Oil & Gas also offers technologies to treat produced water along with a variety of other production chemistries.
Refining and Gas Processing.
Dow Oil & Gas offers one of the the industry's broadest portfolio of gas treating products and technologies. Formerly sold under the Dow Gas Treating banner, Dow Oil & Gas offers technologies to remove contaminants and reduce emissions in refineries, gas processing and power generation plants, including UCARSOL™ and SELEXOL™ Solvents, specialty amines, and solutions such as the UCARKLEAN™ Amine Unit Cleaning and UCARSEP™ Amine Salt Management Programs.
The AMINE MANAGEMENTSM Program from Dow Oil & Gas combines UCARSOL solvents and specialty amine products, technologies and technical service to deliver a customized approach to the unique plant and amine system objectives of customers. Some of the economic and performance benefits include:
